Mariana was born and raised in Monterrey, México and moved to Victoria, BC three years ago. She is currently attending Camosun College for a Visual Arts.
'I have always loved artmaking as it has been my major hobby for the most part of my life, I enjoy sculpting multiple types of clay, painting, drawing, playing the guitar, photography, printmaking, pretty much any medium I can get my hands on!
I worked as an art teacher for toddlers during two summers back in a summer camp in Mexico. I began face painting because art has always been an important part of my life, I enjoy working with colour and bringing things to life by hand.
What I find the most exciting about face painting is the combination of creativity and interaction, and the ability to transform a face and create a positive, memorable experience :)'
